Hold the Presses! Daily Telegraph is making bold statements.

Apparently Arsenal's pursuit of Samir Nasri has been put on hold until after Euro 2008, despite the Gunners agreeing a £12.5m fee with Marseille. (Daily Telegraph)
However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is sure of the ability of Samir Nasri, as he claimed that the France playmaker can make an impact "at the highest level".
The Gunners are apparently chasing the 20-year-old Marseille star, but the transfer is now likely to be completed after the Euro 2008 as reports suggest that the move is being held up over wages demand. (Or as an insurance policy in case any injuries are incurred during the tournament? -EO)
Nevertheless, Wenger is an admirer of his compatriot, and believes Nasri can be an important player for Les Bleus at the European showpiece event in Austria and Switzerland.
"At 21 years old his whole future is ahead of him and he has (quite) a margin for progressing further," Wenger told French newspaper La Provence.
"He has, in any case, the qualities needed to assert himself at the highest level."
"Hmm...Sounds like we are going to be a major threat next season, it occurred to me that that with all the hype about C. Ronaldo moving away from Old Trafford that it might be the right time to offer Nani (Man. U winger) a starting position on Arsenal's wing in order to facilitate Walcott hopefully playing in a more forward position next season. After seeing Nani's display against Arsenal, Wenger has got to be interested in signing him away from Manchester." -EO
