Fifa needs to do something about these sport agents!

Emmanuel Adebayor's agent Stephane Courbis claims that AC Milan have spoken to Arsenal about the Togo international striker and "know everything depends on what Arsenal want to do". (Il Corriere Dello Sport 2002 BST)

"Yet again a case of a players agent causing further shame to his profession as well as the integrity of a players contract with his club. So so so so sad :( . -EO"

Why is everyone swooping our players!?

Daily Telegraph is making bold statements today. Slinging such filth as this little gem, "Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor is eager for a move away from the Emirates Stadium with AC Milan his preferred destination. "

"Oh reallly? This puts Arsenal in too good of a position to barter for players such as Alexandre Pato, Pirlo, or Kaka and AC Milan club owners will know this. I believe in May Adebayor vowed to stay with Arsenal and I believe he will stay and win the golden boot in the Premier League next season. -EO"

On a relevant tangent....

Arsenal's hopes of signing Marseille playmaker Samir Nasri could be hijacked by Atletico Madrid says the Daily Mirror.

"Seriously Atletico Madrid or Arsenal? I love the Oakland Athletics, but if Arsenal loses Nasri to Atletico Madrid we must fire all of our negotiators! Arsenal, your ethics are immaculate but the other clubs aren't, splash the cash a bit eh? -EO"

No he isn't a chef, but he can cut apart a defence.

The Times reports that as of today Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been linked with Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli.

"This is a brilliant decision. Mario Balotelli is an incredible player. Arsenal need to follow up with this and make a swoop for him. If Arsenal doesn't start making bold moves to sign new players they could get raided by teams like Tottenham, desperate to assemble a worthy squad. -EO"

Can we have Kaka for Adebayor?! :)

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has agreed a deal to move to AC Milan but the asking price from the Gunners could prevent any switch. (Gazzetta dello Sport, 1335 BST) Emmanuel Adebayor's agent Stephane Courbis claims that AC Milan have spoken to Arsenal about the Togo international striker and "know everything depends on what Arsenal want to do". (Il Corriere Dello Sport 2002 BST)

"Ok fine. Can we have Kaka? :) -EO"

Oh Snap!

Daily Telegraph is at it again with those big statements! The newest being that both Arsenal and Tottenham will do battle over Valencia striker David Villa, who has been made available for around £17m. (Daily Telegraph)

"Arsenal is the obvious choice right?" -EO

Hold the Presses! Daily Telegraph is making bold statements.

Apparently Arsenal's pursuit of Samir Nasri has been put on hold until after Euro 2008, despite the Gunners agreeing a £12.5m fee with Marseille. (Daily Telegraph)

However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is sure of the ability of Samir Nasri, as he claimed that the France playmaker can make an impact "at the highest level".

The Gunners are apparently chasing the 20-year-old Marseille star, but the transfer is now likely to be completed after the Euro 2008 as reports suggest that the move is being held up over wages demand. (Or as an insurance policy in case any injuries are incurred during the tournament? -EO)

Nevertheless, Wenger is an admirer of his compatriot, and believes Nasri can be an important player for Les Bleus at the European showpiece event in Austria and Switzerland.

"At 21 years old his whole future is ahead of him and he has (quite) a margin for progressing further," Wenger told French newspaper La Provence.

"He has, in any case, the qualities needed to assert himself at the highest level."

"Hmm...Sounds like we are going to be a major threat next season, it occurred to me that that with all the hype about C. Ronaldo moving away from Old Trafford that it might be the right time to offer Nani (Man. U winger) a starting position on Arsenal's wing in order to facilitate Walcott hopefully playing in a more forward position next season. After seeing Nani's display against Arsenal, Wenger has got to be interested in signing him away from Manchester." -EO

Are we getting a new goalie?

It is no secret anymore that Alexander Hleb (Belarusian midfielder) will be departing Emerites to play at the Nou Camp as he is close to a move to La Liga giants Barcelona, according to one of his representatives.

The Press were told that With Jose Mourinho Joining Inter Milan the situation had changed there and that Hleb will now be leaving Arsenal for the Nou Camp.

Vincenzo Morabito told Unico Grande Amore Radio, "He's close to Barcelona. The Blaugrana have aimed for months now to bring him to them.

"But it's a shame that we didn't get to take him to Italy as he was well-admired at Inter.

"Mourinho has chosen a different path, focusing on his own players."

Real Madrid are yet to show any interest, and with it rumoured that the Emirates player has already agreed terms with FC Barcelona it looks like just a transfer fee has to be agreed with Arsenal to secure his move away from The Premier League.

"Yaya Toure! Yaya Toure! Yaya Toure! :) Hey wait, we still need a goalie!" -EO

Flamini's replacement, Arsenal is looking stacked!

Arsene Wenger is ready to raid Hamburg for midfielder Piotr Trochowski to replace the departed Matthieu Flamini. (The People)

"Wait, do my eyes decieve me?!? Why raid Hamburg for any other midfielder than Rafael Van Der Vaart? It would be such a waste if Chelsea swooped VdV. Well, if Wenger believes then so do I. I hope Trochowski gets some face time during Euro2008 so we can see him shine, and bring that shine to the Emirates next season if he does in fact end up in North London. -EO"

Hleb to join Henry at Barca?

According to the Sunday Mirror, Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb will join Barcelona this week in a £12m deal. This could prove valuable to Arsenal if they are to acquire savvy defensive midfielder Yaya Toure - younger brother of Kolo - who could be joining Arsenal as part of the deal that takes Alexander Hleb to Barcelona reports the Daily Star.

"This is really too bad; Hleb's footwork is better than C. Ronaldo's and he isn't out there to look pretty, but to win. If he does leave, he will be missed. However, Arsenal are in dire need of a better defensive back line, and having the combination of power, speed and chemistry of the Toure brothers at back just might be the ticket to a Champions League final. -EO."

Eduardo to return to full fitness by late summer

Sky Sports reports that Arsenal's Eduardo Da Silva (front-right), Brazilian born Croatian striker, who suffered a broken left leg in an overly rough collision with Birmingham defender Martin Taylor in February could make a full recovery much earlier than anticipated.

It was thought that it would take up to 15 months to fully recover from the injury; but Eduardo, recovering in a clinic in Rio De Janeiro since mid-Apri, has now brought this date forward, which is sure to please fellow teammates and manager, not to mention the Gunner's fans. Eduardo told Croatian sports daily Sportske Novosti: "I am returning to Europe from Brazil at the beginning of August, perhaps even the end of July. Doctors tell me by then I will be fully recovered and able to play football again. I hope so too.I'm feeling well and my rehabilitation is going better than I would ever have hoped."

"Excellent news, hopefully Eduardo will be fit in time to make the substantial contributions in front of goal that he did this year. If his season hadn't ended so abrubtly, I am sure the seasons outcome in the Champions League and Premier League would have been much more positive for Arsenal had he not been mauled by Martin Taylor. (Below: Eduardo suffered a compound fracture of the left leg, and open dislocation of the left ankle)"

Don't let the media and agents get our hopes up!

Cesc Fabregas looks certain to sign a bumper new deal at Arsenal after committing himself to the club for at least one more season. (Daily Star)

"Bullocks, Arsenal for life. Doesn't he have a contract until 2014 or something like that? I think it seems to be the method of agents now to tie clubs up in false hope of signing a player for long term, because they know a year later they will convince a bigger club to buy out that huge contract and instantly cash it out for a big paycheck to player and agent. "

Arsenal bolster midfield with attacking player

Though the clubs are still negotiating terms of the deal, Marseille midfielder Samir Nasri will be heading to Arsenal, reports BBC Sport. (BBC Sport, 1530 BST)

"Hopefully Nasri will mesh well in the midfield with Cesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie. If we can get Rosicky fit, and land a decent winger we might stand a chance next season. Adding Barry would be ideal, but could be unrealistic. Arsenal seems to shy away from players that "ALL" the other clubs want. "

Arsenal's first summer signing?

The latest news regarding the signing of Marseille's attacking midfielder Samir Nasri to Arsenal reports that he is expected to complete the £12.8m signing from Marseille before next week, according to the player's agent Jean-Pierre Bernes. (The Times)

Arsenal target Samir Nasri of Marseille weaving past a defender.

So which one is it?

BBC and other sports reporting agencies have issued statements saying, "Arsenal have sealed the signing of midfielder Samir Nasri from Marseille for £12.5m. (Daily Telegraph)," and "Arsenal insist reports they have signed Marseille midfielder Samir Nasri for £12.5m are premature. (Press Association, 1301 BST)."

So which one is it? I for one would not mind to hear that it was in fact true. Let's hope Wenger can convince him to put pen to paper before Euro2008 starts. How about we go after Van der Vaart or Huntelaar next :)
